Angolans in New York Celebrate National Independence

New York — About a hundred Angolan youths resident in the United States of America over the weekend in Bridgeport city, Connecticut, celebrated the 34th anniversary of the National Independence, November 11.

On the occasion, the organisers of the celebration expressed satisfaction at the commemoration of the National Independence Day, which they considered as an important event in the history of the country, and the wish to come closer and better know Angola.

Most of the youths that attended the event, came from New York, Pensilvania, New Jersey, Massachusetts and Florida, and are children of Angolans based in the United States since the 60's.

The event was attended by members of the Angolan diplomatic corps accredited to the USA and leaders of several associations of Angolans based in that country.
