The Chief AbuKing Shuluwa-led Caretaker Committee of the PDP in Plateau State has given elected public officers on the platform of the party the marching order to stop dealing with the Professor Dakum Shown-led faction of the party or be sanctioned.
Meanwhile, Shown, in a reaction, insists that he remains the state Chairman of the party until the pending cases in court are concluded vowing to initiate contempt charges against members of the caretaker committee.
Addressing journalists at the newly acquired office of the party on Monday, Shuluwa said the caretaker committee, having finished with the first round of its assignment which is consultation with various stake holders, was now ready to go into the second phase which would include registration of new and old members.
He said this would be followed by congresses at various levels adding that the committee would ask for more time to conclude its assignment if need be.
He said the committee was not in breach of any court injunction as being alleged saying the injunction secured by the Shown group was directed at the National Working Committee and the National Executive Committee of the Party.
