Kampala — A BUSINESS delegation from Britain's manufacturing and service sectors is in the country to establish new and strengthen existing trade links with Ugandans.
The group's mission is assisted by Britain's leading business support organisation, the Birmingham Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI). They will transact business for five days from November 6.
"BCCI brings UK companies from the manufacturing and service sectors with products tailored to suit Ugandan business and consumers," said a statement from the British High Commission.
The delegation's areas of interest include waste water systems, water purification, agricultural consultancy, mobile phone transactions, scientific laboratory equipment, the oil and gas industry, international aid-related engineering and construction markets, the statement added.
The British High Commission through its UK Trade and Investment (UKTI) team is supporting the group's visit. UKTI assists Uganda to access UK markets with British technology and expertise.
The Director of International Trade at the BCCI Jonathan Webber was optimistic of this East Africa trade mission, he said, "visiting UK Companies always positively comment on the business opportunities they encounter with local companies, our work contributes to economic growth,"
