Gambia international forward Ousman Jallow is set to leave Danish side Brondby IF in search of a regular playing time after finding it difficult to break into Kent Nielsen's first team, Gambia Sports Online has revealed.
Jallow joined the Copenhagen outfit from United Arab Emirates side FC Al Ain in the summer of 2008 and finished the season as the club's top scorer with 12 goals under former coach Tom Kohlert. But it has never been the same under Nielsen since he took over from Kohlert constantly leaving the Gambian international on the bench even when he is finding the back of the net regularly.
But now the former Wallidan striker whose contract runs with the Danish Super League side until the summer of 2011 is looking forward to a new challenge after declaring that the situation is becoming "intolerable"."I have consistently worked to get my place back in the team instead of thinking about a new club. But the situation is becoming intolerable, and my desire to play games is paramount" the 21-year-old said.
Morten 'Duncan' Rasmussen and Martin Bernburg seemed to be Nielsen's favorites in attack and Jallow has already made up his mind by declaring that he will love to move on either on a loan or a permanent sale but he is not ruling out the possibility of staying in Denmark. "I scored nine goals in the league last year and also scored some goals in the cup. I'm still a key player in the national team [Gambia] and scored in a test game [Gambia vs Guingamp in France] some weeks ago. I want to move on in order to play more games either on a loan or a permanent deal but I am also not ruling out staying in Denmark.
Jallow started the first game of the new season against Njogu Demba's OB Odense and scored. But since then, the Gambian international has played only one game from the start and came on as a substitute four times. In the last five matches, Ousman Jallow has not been playing and has been completely out of the squad in the last two league matches.
