Nigeria: Abutu is New Federal High Court Chief Judge

President Umaru Yar'adua has approved the appointment of Justice Daniel Dantsoho Abutu as the Chief Judge of the Federal High Court.

Justice Abutu's appointment is based on the recommendation of the National Judicial Council (NJC) and confirmation by the Senate.

NJC Secretary Danladi Halilu said in a statement yesterday in Abuja that Justice Abutu would be sworn in on tomorrow at the Supreme Court Coplex Abuja by Chief Justice Idris Legbo Kutigi.
