"In the mean time, all activities at DUNCAN Terminal are to be put on hold in accordance with the law. The management of DUNCAN bonded warehouse is expected to come forward and give account", he said. He said efforts were on to get the identify the escort officers to establish their culpability or otherwise in the matter, saying if confirmed, appropriate disciplinary measures would be taken against them. According to him, the NCS will continue to monitor activities at all other bonded terminals, adding that anyone who goes against the law would meet a similar fate. Comptroller Tahir added that eight suspected smugglers had been arrested in connection with 143 seizures valued at over N132 million. He said in the last three weeks, 12 containers loaded with assorted contraband goods were seized by the NCS FOU zone A.
