Staff of Stanbic Bank Ghana, customers of the Bank and staff of some corporate bodies will on Saturday November 14th 2009, embark on a special mountain climbing expedition on the Akwapem Ridge.
The Walk, dubbed "Stanbic @10 Celebrations Special Health Walk and Mountain Climbing", forms part of activities to mark the bank's 10th Anniversary Celebrations.
The walk will begin at the base of the Akwapem Mountain at Ayi Mensah in Accra and will end at the Aburi Botanical Gardens in Aburi, covering a distance of about 16 km.
The "Hikers" are expected to converge at the starting point at 6am to begin the mountain climbing expedition which is expected to last some two hours. Various fun games and aerobic sessions have been lined up to help the climbers unwind after they finish the walk.
The 10th Anniversary is on the theme "On top at 10 and beyond" and a number of activities have been lined up ending in February next year.
According to Mawuko Afadzinu, Head, Marketing and Public Relations "the Walk is actually a warm-up to all the exciting activities lined up for the celebrations and we are extending an invitation to all our customers, partners, stakeholders and the general public to join us."
