Ghana: As MTN Academy Separates Men From Boys

The eviction rod of the MTN Soccer Academy Ghana-Nigeria fell heavily and knocked out Godwillson Madukadzi, team mate # 13, in the second day of the eviction show at the Academy House, Ridge last Sunday.

But unlike the first eviction show which saw young and intelligent Samuel Chibyzor (# 1) and Caygu Williams (#9) bowing out tearfully, the Nigerian took his exit lightly, though his facial expression revealed that of a disturbed man.

His Nigerian compatriots sympathized with him as he walked through the tunnel to the changing room of the academy house.

In a post-eviction press conference at the Academy House yesterday, Madukadzi noted that although his exit came as a shock, he has put it behind him and would rather use it as stepping stone to reach the top.

The unassuming player thanked coaches Ibrahim Sunday, Dan Owusu and Mohammed Polo, as well as Optimum Media Prime (OMP), Metro TV and AIT for the platform to showcase his talent.

He received a trophy; a Dominic Adiyiah autographed football and a special cash prize as his reward. Madukadzi's exit reduces the number of Nigerians in the house to five, as against Ghana's six.
