Tunisia: Tunis to Host First Franchising Fair

column

Tunis — A great first in Tunisia, franchise is developing a legal framework. On July 21, 2009 a law recognizing franchise was adopted by the Tunisian Parliament.

From December 10 to 12, 2009 the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tunis, in collaboration with the Mediterranean Association of Chambers of Commerce (Ascame), and in partnership with the Tunisian Union of Industry, Commerce and Handicrafts (UTICA) organizes the 1st edition of a Franchise fair dubbed "Tunis-MedFranchise". The event will take place at UTICA's headquarters in Tunis.

As part of promoting the franchise sector in the Mediterranean, the event will bring together a large number of Mediterranean enterprises, and will be a place for exchanges and partnerships to promote direct relations between franchisors and their potential partners.

Alongside the exhibition, "Tunis-MedFranchise" will include workshops on the benefits of investment in Tunisia: tax incentives, encouragements to create innovative projects, which will be moderated by leading experts.
