Port Harcourt — FIERCE looking armed robbers in the early hours of yesterday killed two Mobile Policemen in Port Harcourt and disappeared with their riffles.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mrs Rita Inoma Abbey, who con-firmed the development to Vanguard, said the policemen were on excort duty for a company, Prejini Nigeria Limited when they were attacked.
The accountant of the firm was being driven in a jeep with the policemen inside when the hoodlums opened fire on the jeep around Peter Odili Road.
According to the PPRO, the robbers succeeded in carting away N3 million.
The accountant of the firm and the driver of the vehicle, according to the Police PRO, sustained various degrees of gun shot wounds, and were rushed to an undisclosed hospital for treatment.
"Our men were excorting money belonging to Prejini Nigeria Limited. The armed robbers killed the two mobile policemen and fled with their rifles," she said.
