Kampala — FOR the picture of the scene, Man U fans were the majority at the premiership magazine fans' party for November at Club Pa Lui last Sunday, as the match between Manchester United and Chelsea was on.
The Red Devils' fans were excited until Chelsea took the lead deep into the second-half and defended it to win the game. The Man U fans went suddenly quiet. It was interesting to see them give up on the football match and and resort to beer, thanks to party sponsors Nile Special and the brand promotions manager, Moses Muhanga, who provided the drinks and snacks. The fans drank late into the night and were joined by readers of the premiership magazine and fans of the local league.
Aldrine Nsubuga and Premiership editor, Joseph Opio, were present to give the fans incisive analysis of the game. The fans had a chance to win goodies from Nile, which included caps, T-shirts and keyholders. The premiership party is a monthly event for readers of the magazine, a product of Vision Group and it is sponsored by Nile Special beer.
Muhanga said they would continue to sponsor the event and to make it bigger every month with the December party scheduled to have more readers than ever before.
