Nineteen players out of the 22 invited for the crucial World Cup qualifier against Kenya trained ahead of Saturday's cracker in Nairobi.
Team captain Nwankwo Kanu led out 18 other players in the Super Eagles' camp for the first training session at the Aguiyi Ironsi Barracks in Abuja yesterday evening as the nation looks expectantly to Saturday's all-important match against Kenya's Harambee Stars.
Among those who also trained with Kanu yesterday are Joseph Yobo who plies his trade with Everton of England; Chelsea of England defensive midfielder John Mikel Obi and Marseille of France defence ace Taye Taiwo.
Also in camp are Osaze Odemwingie, Yusuf Ayila, Seyi Olofinjana, Joseph Akpala, Femi Ajilore, Michael Eneramo, Dele Adeleye, Kalu Uche, Onyekachi Apam, Obinna Nsofor, Elderson Echejile, Obinna Nwanneri, Chidi Odiah and goalkeepers Greg Etafia and Dele Aiyenugba.
Three players, goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama, striker Martin Obafemi and Danny Shittu were being expected in camp yesterday evening.
The Super Eagles who are camping at the Bolton White Hotel in Abuja, need to win the November 14 tie and for Tunisia to lose their game against Mozambique the same day for the country to pick the ticket to South Africa 2010 World Cup.
