The police file of two Daily Monitor editors who are facing charges of forgery is still with the Criminal Investigation Directorate. Makindye Grade One Magistrate Emmanuel Baguma heard that the file of the accused is still at CID.
Mr Daniel Kalinaki, the Managing Editor and Mr Henry Ochieng, the Sunday Editor, appeared before the magistrate to have their case mentioned.
This was the second mention of the case after the editors were charged on August 21 with forgery. The two published contents of a leaked presidential letter about the Bakiga immigrants in Bunyoro that appeared in the Sunday Monitor of August 2.
Ms Assumpta Kemigisha Ssebunya, who represented the editors, asked court to give them a long adjournment until State winds up its investigations. Mr Baguma, adjourned the case to December 15.
