Week seven of the be MOBILE Premier League did not produce any shocks as the big guns stamped their authority with convincing wins.

Defending champions, Gaborone United (GU) delivered a thorough football lecture to relegation-threatened Boteti Young Fighters with a 6-2 pounding in Molepolole on Saturday night.
On Friday night, Mochudi Centre Chiefs weathered a late Uniao Flamengo Santos' storm to win 3-2. Chiefs were 3-1 ahead with 15 minutes to go but a Mogakolodi 'Tsotso' Ngele penalty, coupled with the sending off of Chiefs' goalkeeper, Mompoloki 'Wrist' Sephekolo ensued a nail-biting end to the encounter.
In the first match of a double header in Molepolole on Saturday, new boys, Motlakase almost caused a shocker after taking the lead against Notwane in the 61st minute. But veteran Zambian striker, Langson Sichola saved the blushes for the bottom-placed Toronto with a late equaliser. Extension Gunners shrugged off the kit clash delay to dismiss a battling Jwaneng Comets 2-1. Bernard Semakwezi and Emmanuel Nlu found the target for the visitors while bustling Andy Simba got the consolation goal for Comets. The match was delayed by an hour as an alternative kit was sought for Gunners.
ECCO City Greens, consistent performers over the last few seasons, proved their worth with a 2-1 win over talent laden but underachieving BDF XI in Francistown.
Nico United succumbed to their second defeat of the season away to TAFIC. The Francistown side put aside their in-house squabbles to edge out Majombolo 1-0. Despite the defeat, Nico stayed second behind Rollers who pulled away from the chasing pack and are now three points clear.
Despite the weekend win, Rollers failed to convert numerous scoring opportunities, with Onalethata Tshekiso being the culprit. The log leaders have a healthy goal difference of 13 and have amassed 18 points from seven games. The only blot to their record this season has been the 1-0 loss to Santos.
Extension Gunners climbed to third spot in one of their best starts in years. Chiefs remained in contention as they moved to fourth with 11 points from five games. ECCO are level on points with Chiefs but one place behind due to an inferior goal difference. GU are two points behind and will be pleased with the three points which puts their title campaign on track after a surprise 4-1 loss to Motlakase in their previous game.
Santos dropped from fourth to seventh and their early season poor form should concern coach Clever Hunda.
TAFIC made a leap to eighth after victory over Nico although persistent reports paint a gloomy picture at the Francistown side. There are reports that the club almost failed to fulfill its Sunday fixture.
BDF XI, under Stan Mwaanga suffered their second defeat of the season and are ninth on the log, 11 points off the pace. Comets failed to build on their impressive showing against Chiefs when they came unstuck against Gunners.
Killer Giants remained above the relegation zone despite their defeat to Rollers, while Police XI, who finished sixth last season are struggling at number 12. Barry Daka's men have managed only one win in six outings.
Motlakase, who have just roped in Madinda Ndlovu as coach, came away with a valuable away point to Notwane and are placed 13th. Caretaker coach, Benedict Bayani said it is a confidence booster for his side to avoid defeat in two matches. The previous weekend, Motlakase dispatched GU 4-1.
BMC, whose game against Police XI was postponed due to lights failure, occupy the last relegation spot with a meagre five points from six matches. Boteti are 15th with five points, but behind BMC on goal difference while Notwane bring the rear with three points from six matches. A pale shadow of the trailblazing side of the 1990s, Notwane are still searching for a first win this season.
