Nigeria: Nico Has New Executive Secretary

Abuja — President Umaru Yar'Adua has approved the appointment of Dr. Barclays Ayakoroma as Executive Secretary of National Institute for Cultural Orientation (NICO).

According to a statement signed by Minister of Tourism, Culture and National Orientation, Senator Bello Gada, the appointment of Ayakoroma has been approved by President Yar'Adua.

The appointment which took effect from November 3, 2009 is for a term of four years in the first instance, in line with the enabling laws establishing NICO.
