Nigeria/Tunisia: Beat Kenya, We Will Beat Tunisia

Abuja — As attention continues to shift to Kenya where the Super Eagles of Nigeria are billed to tackle the Harambee Stars of Kenya this weekend in one of the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualifiers, chief coach of the Mambas of Mozambique, Maart Nooij has charged the Super Eagles to defeat Kenya in the battle of Kasarani promising to do so to the visiting Carthage Lions of Tunisia.

He said that despite the injury that has sidelined his central defender, he has a team capable of getting maximum points from the North Africans.

"Yes we have one injury problem but we will be able to defeat Tunisia, so let Nigeria win in Kenya since we will get the desired result here at the Mashaba Stadium."

Describing the encounter as a revenge mission, Nooij whose side lost two - zero in the reverse game said there will be no hiding place for Tunisia even as he added that he still needs some elements of luck to see his side go tops in the match."

The tactician further revealed that the government and people of Mozambique have given the team all the support it desires saying as a gesture, everything possible would be done to ensure that the team gets the ticket to the 2010 African Nations Cup slated for Angola before the World Cup in June.

The overall leader of Group 4 will certainly qualify to be one of the African representatives to the World Cup while the other two will join them to play at the Nations Cup earlier in June.
