Awka — A Non Governmental Organization, South East movement for the emancipation of Ndigbo has described as an unnecessary incitement of the South East zone , the statement accredited to Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu on the case instituted by the former Governor of Anambra state Dr Andy Uba.

Daily Champion reports that Ojukwu had last week warned that he would lead the state again to war, should the Appeal Court declare Uba winner in his case seeking his declaration as Governor in waiting.

Ojukwu's statement attracted mixed reactions from across Anambra state and the South East group, led by Dr. Silas Ukpaka and the secretary, Barrister Tochukwu Onugha were not left out from the pack.

The group said the zone and Anambra State needed no more war warning that Ojukwu should stop preempting the judges decision.

The Group had addressed journalists saying that Ojukwu should have waited for the judgment before making such utterance. They said Andy Uba had every right as a citizen of the country to challenge what he felt was not right.

Their words, 'This is a man whose heart was injured when he was removed as the Governor of Anambra State, after winning an election and was declared as winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

"What is wrong in going to court to challenge the mandate given to him by his state electorate, to us, the young man has not committed any crime rather, he wants justice."

"If he had seen himself as a gang star, he would have mobilized people to start destroying things in the state, which had happened before in Anambra but he chose to go to court to seek redress like the state Governor, Mr. Peter obi did against the former Governor, Dr. Chris Ngige."

The Youth group also lamented on the attack on the person of Professor Ilochi Okafor (SAN) by some people over his stand on the matter, describing them as blindfolded.

They said, "we have not faulted the Advertorial in the Nation Newspaper, signed by the ebullient Professor of law, what he did was to express his own opinion and he did not ridicule anybody."

"This idea of few people in the state tackling him because of his opinion is uncalled for and our people should desist from this politics of blackmail and pull him down because it is not going to help the cause of Ndigbo
