Decco F.C on Saturday registered chances of progressing to the final of the Barra Essau Mayamba (BEM) nawettan following their narrow lead over Hard knock F.C in a semi final played at the Essau Lower Basic football field.
Omar Camara, alias "carlie" put Decco F.C into an unassailable lead three minutes into the first half. Hard knock on several occasions came closer to neutralizing the lone goal as their strikers were opportune with one on one chance, but misdirected the shots.
In the second semi final match played on Sunday between Barra academy and the Essau Central Park ended unceremoniously as pandemonium over shadowed the game in the dying minute of the match.
The confusion started in the 84th minute of the game when Barra academy who was trailing behind by a lone goal to Essau, scored a goal that was over ruled by the linesman who raised his flag and demonstrated that it was a foul, while the central referee decreed it as a goal.
The remaining minutes were characterized by confusion and argument.
The match was called off by the central referee and the organizing committee is to decide whether the game will be replayed or not.
