Red Bull Soccer Academy forward, Olanrenwaju Kayode, who is also a member of the current Golden Eaglets, is set to help the Nigerian U-17 side defend the trophy they won in Korea two years ago.

The Nigerians brushed aside their Korean counterparts 3-1 in the quarter final stage to set a date with Spain at the Semi finals tomorrow, in the on-going FIFA U-17 championship in Nigeria.

The striker was signed last year by one of the finest soccer academies in Ghana, Red Bull Academy, based in Sogakope, in a contract that runs till 2011.

Kayode, whose exploits attracted the lenses of the technical team of the Golden Eaglets, played a significant role in the academy's campaign for promotion to the national Division One League.

Happenings from the Red Bull camp indicate that they beat Vora in the play-off game 3-0 on Monday, which qualifies them to play in one of the Zones in the Volta region.

The young player was the joint top scorer in the Volta Region league, scoring eleven goals in five games, and his contribution in the on-going youth championship has been phenomenal.

He has contributed immensely to Nigeria's victories over Germany, Argentina, Honduras, New Zealand and Korea Republic.

His timing, pace and agility makes him a fearsome striker who will step in the shoes of the Drogbas, Torres and Eto'os, among others.
