Abuja — Golden Eaglets midfielder, Abdul Ajagun is looking forward to playing a key role in the fall of Spain, when the Nigerians clash with the Europeans in tonight's FIFA Under-17 World Cup semifinal in Lagos.

Ajagun, played a pivotal role in the defeat of Korea Republic, scoring the second goal in the 51st minute, when both sides were tied at 1-1. The goal was classic.

The youngster celebrated the goal with great delight, which he was still exuding when he spoke with reporters at the mixed zone.

"Reflecting on how he felt when he thundered in the shot into the Korean net, Ajagun said he was enveloped with joy that he was not able to bottle up, leading to his wild celebrations.

"The moment I hit the ball and watched it sail into the net, I was overjoyed because we needed that goal to restore our confidence and make us believe that we can win the match. Our opponents gave us a tough fight but that goal gave us the edge."

"Now that we have qualified to play Spain, I hope to give my best and if God, say I would score, I would be happy to score but we need victory. We know Spain would be tough but our coach would tell us how to handle them", added Ajagun, who plays for Dolphin of Port Harcourt.
