Nigeria: Weigh-Tech Industries Invests N423.9 Billion in Country

Weigh — TECH Industries Nigeria Limited, said it has invested more than N423.9 billion in Industrial Weighing Applications and equipment in Nigeria since coming into the country .

Managing Director of the company, Mr. Jacob John Poovathoor, who disclosed this at a seminar in Lagos, explained that despite the global financial ane economic meltdown, the company has invested $.75million and an additional $3.5 million Industrial Weighing Applications and equipment, in Nigeria.

Mr Poovathoor who was addressing over 100 participants from various industries in Nigeria on weighing concept and various applications at a seminar on engineering the weighing solution organized by an industrial giant, Mettler Toledo, in Lagos, called on other foreign investors to undermine the threat of the ongoing global economic meltdown to nation's economies in the world by making Nigeria's economy a priority for their investment.

He said "Our core business is to offer a Complete Solution for all Industrial Weighing Applications. And through our offices and the team of expertise qualified Engineers & Technicians, we give solutions from "Milli Grams to Tonnes" for not only the products supplied by us but also a customer supplied product. Weigh Tech also supply various "Software" that are being used in various Weighing Applications to generate different types of Reports on Products, Customers / Suppliers, Transporters / Hauliers for Security Controls & Inventory purpose."

The Managing Director noted that Weigh-Tech industries is the authorized representative for MT, fully equipped with a team of qualified service engineers and test equipment for all forms of weighing applications presently operates mainly in countries spread over East, cntral and west of African continent.

According to him, Nigeria's industrial policy is anchored on the need to accelerate the pace of industrial development through greater utilization of the nation's human and natural resources to positively transform the lives of our teeming population

He said "Our priority is to increase innovating new technology for weighing applications with emphasis on knowledge and capital intensive manufacturing application of new technology, innovation, best management practices and a more efficient utilization of resources to promote the development patterns in Nigeria.

Using our collaboration with the world leading suppliers of PLC, process control systems and enterprise software Nigeria's manufacturers can be assured that there is no easier way to integrate weighing technology into a modern process management environment." He however reassured Nigerians that weigh-Tech industries can provide batching system for the construction/chemical/pharma sector where materials can be mixed in desired proportion in a fast and accurate method.
