The governor stated this while commissioning the State Government Data Centre, Government House, Benin City.

He said the world was in the era of e-governance and Edo State would be a part of the movement, adding that all aspects of governance in the state would now be by e-governance.

Earlier, the Director of Information Technology Unit, Yemi Keri, said the project was part of efforts to enthrone e-governance in the state.

Meanwhile, as part of exercise to mark his one year in office, the governor commissioned three roads in Benin City.

The roads are Omorodion Street, Ogida and Okhoro roads.

Speaking before the commissioning, the gover-nor said his administration was irrevocably committed to constructing good and motorable roads that would stand the test of time. He spoke of the benefits which good and motorable roads held for the socio-economic development of the people.

He re-iterated that all roads to be constructed in the state would have the components of modern roads like lay-byes, drains and walkways, adding that the necessary designs must also be produced.

Comrade Oshiomhole re-iterated his commitment of service to the people, stressing that the joy of the people is his satisfaction.

He commended the contractors for a job well done, adding that contractors who performed well would be awarded more contracts.

The spokespersons for the various communities thanked the governor for a dream come true.

They described the construction of their roads as a tonic that dried the tears from their faces and pledged their continued support and loyalty to the administration.
