Harare — Government has hailed relations between China and Africa saying the Asian country has helped Zimbabwe during the period that the nation was under attack for asserting its right to control its natural resources.
Speaking at the A1 Photo exhibition to celebrate the Forum of China-Africa Co-operation in Harare last week, Acting Secretary for Foreign Affairs Mrs Rofina Chikava said the relationship between China and Africa was based on mutual respect, sovereign equality, dialogue and genuine partnership.
"It is a strategic partnership based on consultation rather than prescription. This enduring strong and close relationship has its foundations in China's history of support and solidarity with Africa's struggle for self- determination and freedom from foreign political domination," she said.
Zimbabwe, Mrs Chikava said, was among the several African countries that have benefited directly from the implementation of the eight-point plan.
Zimbabwe has benefited through the US$200 million buyer's credit facility, the China-Africa Development Fund's 10 percent shareholding in Zimasco through Sinosteel while the country will host one of the 10 agricultural technology demonstration centres in Africa.
"Zimbabwe has also received three Chinese agricultural experts in the areas of animal disease control, fisheries and grain. These contributions underscore China's sterling support for agricultural production and food security . . . "

As if WWI didn't end the idea of colonial exploitation of Africa, WWII and the post-war liberation of Africa certainly did! In your "bibliography" of European efforts to plunder Africa, you mentioned the following countries:
Austria Belgium Denmark France Germany Holland Italy Portugal Russia Spain Norway Turkey Persia
Question: What have ANY of these nations done since 1950 to subjugate or otherwise enslave any nation in Africa? France, a re-united Germany and Russia might have the wherewithal to pressure any particular African nation into a certain policy, but which one of these nations actually has colonies in Africa at the present time?
Or maybe, you're suggesting that African nations have something to fear from the nefarious mechanations of countries like Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Holland (otherwise known as the NETHERLANDS, you cretin!), Italy, Portugal, Spain, Norway,Turkey, Persia (Iran)?
Come On! Join the rest of us in the 21st Century! Oh yes! Austria and Belgium pose such a "threat" to Africa that all Africa needs to guard against their schemes............. GIVE ME A BREAK!
