Kigali — Thirty four new cases of the H1N1 flu (Swine Flu) have been reported up-country in the districts of Musanze, Muhanga, Rubavu and Rusizi as of November 8, a statement from the Ministry of Health says.

However the statement also emphasizes that the number of cases has reduced tremendously.

The Ministry of Health says a big number of patients have so far completed their treatment.

"Out 159 patients, about 70 percent have finished treatment, no severe cases have been reported, and all confirmed cases continue to show mild symptoms."

The Ministry of Healthy through Health institutions has strengthened ways of improving the emergency preparedness capacity and surveillance, as a way of monitoring closely the evolution of this pandemic.
