Kampala — UPDF walloped Uganda Wildlife Authority 6-0 to take charge of the Inter-Forces Games football tournament at Luzira yesterday.
The victory put UPDF in the lead with five points, a point ahead of Prisons which drew 1-1 with Police.
David Nkugwa opened the floodgates for the army team after 10 minutes en route to sharing a brace with Mustapha Mukezi. Ham Galiwango and Owen Kibenge completed the rout as UPDF dominated the wildlife side in the second half.
In the opening match on Monday, UPDF drew 0-0 with Police while Prisons beat UWA 5-2.
UPDF, who sealed victory in volleyball, are on course of regaining the title from Prisons.
The seventh edition of the forces games is being played under the theme: "Reviving the glory of sports in the forces".
The forces are also using the games to foster working relationships between themselves.
