Uganda: Wakabu Joins Cranes Camp

Kampala — EXPRESS SC goalkeeper Godfrey Wakabu and KCC striker Anthony Bongole are the latest inclusions to the Cranes squad summoned for preparations ahead of the CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup, November 28 - December 13.

FUFA technical director Asuman Lubowa said that the two were mistakenly excluded from the earlier list released last week.

The federation summoned Wakabu after URA's Abbey Dhaira declined citing a groin injury.

Meanwhile, Geoffrey Massa's presence is in balance after his Egyptian club Itesatat FC asked the player, through FUFA, to report back to Cairo.

Massa has been in Kampala training with Uganda Super League champions URA, who had requested FUFA to process his International Transfer Certificate from Itesalat. But the Egyptians claim Massa's contract with them expires in 2011.

The Uganda squad of 35 starts training on Monday after which 25 will enter camp at Sky Hotel.
