Abuja — All Progressive Grand Alliance( APGA) Youth Forum and and Igbo Youth Leaders Forum have both condemned the recent outburst of the Dim Chukwuemeka Ojukwu over his alleged war chants, describing it as regrettable.

At a joint press conference yesterday in Abuja, leaders of the groups, Engr Obinna Ike Uchechukwu and Comrade Barr Kevin O. Nnamdi, the groups said Igbo youths would accept the outcome of the Anambra governorship election appeal regardless of which way the jugdement swayed.

"It is regrettable that while all developing society aspire toward a working democratic system guided by the rule of law, our revered Ikemba, in a shocking display of ill-will, descended to the depth of lawlessness to threaten the nation and particularly the judiciary, the very institution that restored the mandate for which Peter Obi of APGA is the governor of Anambra State today', said the APGA Forum.

While calling on the rule of law to run its full course, the APGA Youth frowned at the attempt to cow the Appeal Court judges in the suit in Enugu brought by Andy Uba, as 'there are better and more decent ways to garner political advantage other than scheming to cow the respected Appeal Court judges in a shameless bare faced show of desperation'.

Igbo Youth Leaders Forum also denounced Ojukwu's alleged pronunciation, saying no Igbo son shall be lured into any war for selfish reasons.

"We are aware that Ojukwu and his sponsors are rankled by the fact that Andy Uba prayed the court for a consequential order to be sworn in as governor of Anambra State come March 10, 2010 since the court had ruled that his election as governor in 2007 was valid," the group said.
