As Twiga Stars, the national women soccer team, step up preparations for the Women's Soccer Tournament slated for Nigeria, JKT have yet to release their four players.
The team's head coach, Charles Boniface Mkwasa said yesterday 16 players were already in camp and blamed JKT for holding back the players.
The coach, who was appointed African Lyon's coach recently, named them as Eto Mlenzi, Helena Peter, Phidelia Daudi and Mwajuma Abdallah.
"It's imperative that they join their teammates before it's too late otherwise we can't forge good patterns," Mkwassa said.
Twiga Stars are gearing up for the soccer tournament that would involve eight nations next month in Lagos.
He said so far the players who reported were faring well in their daily training sessions at Karume Stadium.
"My players are improving steadily and this gives me a belief that they'll perform better in the forthcoming event," he said.
Mkwassa said they would start playing friendly matches in two weeks after working on a few weak areas.
"We plan to play women's teams, but we're also facing a problem of not having strong teams which can give test our side satisfactorily,"he said.
Twiga Stars have a daunting task to humble the likes of Ghana, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Gambia, Nigeria and Sierra Leone.
