column

The Gambian leader, His Excellency Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya Jammeh, who is also the country's first farmer, is once again appealing for more assistance in the harvesting of his rice, coos, millet, sorghum, groundnut and sesame farms; a press release from the Office of President indicated yesterday.

The release reads:

The country's first farmer, His Excellency, the President of the Republic of The Gambia, Sheikh Professor Alhaji Dr Yahya A.J.J Jammeh, has called on all Gambians to help in the bumper harvest of his farms. More than six thousand (6000) people have so far responded to His Excellency the President?s call with enthusiasm, and that is sincerely appreciated.

However, only 25% of the work has been completed. Therefore, His Excellency the president is once again appealing to all and sundry, in The Gambia and the sub-region, for their urgent assistance in the harvesting of his rice, coos, millet, sorghum, groundnut and sesame farms. We thank you all in advance for your massive response
