Kampala — POLICE clawed back into the race for the Inter-Forces soccer title yesterday after routing Uganda Wildlife Authority 8-2.
Francis Kawooya put the corps on the victory path with a ninth minute strike before Noah Kiiza made it 2-0 three minutes later. Emmanuel Feni and Ibrahim Nega grabbed a hat-trick each.
Adam Mugamba and Robert Opetum netted consolation goals for UWA, who are making a debut in the other events besides shooting.
Police, who drew with UPDF and Prisons 0-0 and 1-1 respectively, need to win their final tie against UPDF today.
Four-time champions UPDF, who lost to Prisons in the last games final, look on course to the grab the over all victory after winning the volleyball and handball events.
