Uganda/Somalia: K'naan for Lugogo World Cup Event

Kampala — UPCOMING Somali-born Canadian based hip-hop artiste, K'naan will join Bobi Wine, Radio & Weasel, GNL, Grace Nakimera in entertaining Ugandans during the public viewing of the FIFA World Cup on November15, at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

Dubbed Hip Hop's newest philosopher, K'naan, whose album Troubadour beat out Jay Z's Blue Print 3 in the Amazon's Top Rap and Hip Hop Albums 2009, will sing Waving Flag which is the track played throughout the Coca-Cola FIFA World Cup Trophy Tour.

The artiste better known as the "political rapper" for fusing his music with political insight has sang with Nelly Furtado, Mos Def, Dead Prez and Damian Marley, K'naan has won several awards and continue to inspire a new generation of talent.

The Fans will also view a special 3-D movie showcasing memorable moments of the FIFA world cup. They will also participate in interactive displays and entertainment.
