Francistown police are investigating a case in which a 47-year-old woman of Matshelagabedi village was found dead in a car along the Francistown-Matshelagabedi road.
Officer Commanding District Number 15 Police District, Senior Superintendent Chabaesele Kesupetswe said a passerby who reported the matter to the police had found the deceased on Monday morning.
Kesupetswe said that investigations have just started and it is difficult to determine whether it was an accident or murder.
" We are still to find out what it could be as the car was found in a trench (near the Impala Agricultural camp) and the woman had head wounds," said Kesupetswe.
"At the moment we have not yet arrested any suspect in connection with the incident. We are only hoping that our investigations would help us to close on the assailant(s) if any," said the police boss.
But Mmegi is reliably informed that her husband was in police custody yesterday helping them with investigations. The name of the woman is still withheld until the next of keen have been informed.
