Friday 13 November, would be a crucial day for Workshop F.C as they prepare to meet mighty KGHS Academy in theLamin knock out final to be played at the Sana Jatta Memorial football field.
The knockout defending champions, KGH Sport Academy are working out logistics aim at leveling the ground for their final against Workshop F.C.
They booked a place in the final of the first ever national inter -academy football tournament. They qualified for the knock out final in Lamin which enabled them to defend their title, but missed out in the league final at the semi final stage.
Speaking to this reporter, Yahya Manneh, KGH Sports Academy manager said their ultimate goal would be to defend their last year's title. According to Mr. Manneh, Friday's final would be tough and highly contested as the two teams are constituted with young talented players. "We would give them the respect they deserve in order for us to achieve our goal" said Manneh.
Victor Jarju head coach of Workshop F.C told this reporter that Friday's final would bring an end to their trophy drought. According to Victor, his teams have always qualified to the semi final stages but usually lose to the big teams due to inexperience.
"All my players are in high spirit to win this year's knock out trophy. We used to go after them for training, but when they qualify to the final, they motivate and encourage each other. So they are determining to win this year's knock out trophy" said Victor.
