Harare — OUTGOING Algerian Ambassador to Zimbabwe Mr Ali Mokrani has hailed Zimbabweans for finding a solution to their problems.
Speaking after paying a courtesy call on President Mugabe at Zimbabwe House yesterday, Mr Mokrani said Zimbabwe was in the right direction after the country's main political parties agreed to form a coalition government.
"I am delighted to have been allowed to meet one of the greatest leaders in Africa who briefed me on the situation in the country," he said.
Mr Mokrani, who has been in Zimbabwe for the past five years, said he was also impressed by the safe and stable life in Zimbabwe.
He said the formation of the inclusive Government had put Zimbabwe back on track.
Mr Mokrani said Zimbabwe and Algeria would continue to strengthen bilateral and economic relations through their joint commission. "Over the past five years we have managed to record so much progress through the joint commission, the resumption of the scholarship programme that has risen to over 300 students," he said.
"We also hope to see the conclusions of discussions set up by the joint commission in many areas such as agriculture, mining and information technology."
