Zimbabwe: Stars Club to Host Beauty Pageant

Harare — Rarely do you find models strutting their stuff in a nightclub but on Saturday November 21 Stars Nightclub, will host a bevy of 15 beauties.

The finalists will be competing for the Miss Stars title as the nightclub goes into overdrive ahead of this year's festive season.

Hosted by a female emcee Aura Kawanzaruwa alongside Dj Naida famous for her dancehall tunes, the beauty contest will provide entertainment in more ways than one.

The models would showcase in club wear, casual wear and theme wear courtesy of a local designer. Add to this, a female rapper called Black Bird will help spice up the show while Juvenation and Kito, the new kids on the block will perform an acoustic act.

According to the organisers of the show Wildfire Events and D&L, there are prizes galore for the models and the patrons.

"We are basically bringing beauty into the club where professional models would showcase the latest trends in the country. The winners will walk away with fabulous prizes including cash prizes.

"As Wildfire we want to support women in the entertainment industry through various activities.

"The beauty contest starts at 8pm and thereafter it will be music non-stop," Tariro Ruzvidzo of Wildfire said.

One of the judges will be prominent fashion designer Trish Joseph of Trish Carmen label.

Dj Nosh and L Roy affectionately known as D&L will host the after party. The duo is expected to drop new and old hits of R&B, soul, ragga, kwaito and of course house music.

It will be fireworks throughout as models and patrons will have time to mix and mingle as they dance all night long.

For those who love to party they should watch out for Dj Clock who is expected to rock music fans on November 28.

Dj Clock is popularly known for his chart topping house beats like Dusk & Dawn, Umahamba Yedwa and Amanyonyoba featuring Brickz.

This would be Dj Clock's first ever gig in the capital although lately there has been a flurry of South African Djs including Cndo, Oskido, Tenny T and Biblos.
