Kampala — OLD Kampala Police has summoned former FUFA presidential hopeful Godfrey Kwizera over the soccer governing body's missing vehicle.
Kwizera got the summons along with FUFA delegate Yusuf 'Chuni' Kyeyune and a former federation official Eddie Ssembatya.
The officials have been called over a federation minibus that went missing in 2005.
Kwizera was at the time vice president in charge of administration under the federation's former president Denis Obua.
The case against Kwizera's group was reported at Police by one Barigye.
A Criminal Investigation Department official handling the case said, "Yes someone has a complaint against him (Kwizera) and other people."
The official said Kwizera's group is supposed to appear for interrogation on Monday.
Kwizera was due to face the current FUFA chief Lawrence Mulindwa at the elective assembly next month but he failed to turn up for nominations on two separate occasions.
Kwizera is also believed to be behind a court case former Kabale delegate Goodluck Musinguzi filed against Mulindwa, his vice president finance Jowali Kyeyago and CEO Edgar Watson who are required to explain the alleged loss of over sh900m belonging to the federation.
At the same time, FUFA official in charge of security Sam Lwere explained that Police men were at the federation headquarters in Mengo on Thursday.
