Nigeria: Dantata Commits N800 Million On Varsity Infrastructure

Katsina — Chancellor, Katsina State University and Kano based businessman, Alhaji Aminu Dantata has so far committed eight hundred million naira (N800m) for the construction of lecture halls, laboratories and roads infrastructures in the university.

Chairman of the university governing board and emir of Kazaure, Alhaji Najib Hussaini Adamu who disclose this to newsmen in Katsina yesterday said the monies are part of the one billion naira worth of projects pledged to the university during his investiture last year.

He said the university has with these new infrastructures making arrangement to introduce additional seven courses after its maiden convocation coming up December 20th this year for the first set of its one hundred and forty one (141) graduates. The emir who conducted newsmen round the projects appealed to the Muslim Ummah to show more interest in the institution in order to support and appreciate its status as the first and only community owned institution in the country.
