Uganda: Man Impersonates Conductor

Kampala — There was pandemonium in a Kampala-bound taxi when an unidentified man vanished with the transport fare of two ladies recently.

As the taxi approached Kampala from Mukono, the conductor asked for money. Two ladies passed a sh20,000 note to the man who was behind the conductor. The man instead paid his fare and disembarked.

The ladies later asked for their change and the conductor denied getting their money. Other passengers told the ladies the man who had got out of the taxi had not given the money to the conductor.
