Namibia: Big Brother Africa 4 - Village Might!

Jean Sutherland

10 November 2009

IT was a classic Mastercard moment. Priceless!

Arrogance was put to the sword on Sunday, as the plans of the self-annointed elite in the Big Brother house were dashed by a continent-wide surge of support for "village insurgent" Nkenna!

Yip people, BBA viewers across Africa voted to keep the Nigerian, who was offered up for eviction by the 'axis of E' - namely her fellow countryman kEvin, his consort Elizabeth, and Emma 'The Pout', aka Emm.I.Am.

The 'E-axis' had believed, truly believed that Nkenna would go at their behest. Instead, Elizabeth received the least votes in the most countries.

The Tanzanian was the least popular in Angola, Botswana, Ghana, Malawi, Namibia, Uganda, Zimbabwe and Zambia.

Emma received the fewest votes in Ethiopia, Mozambique, Nigeria and the Rest of Africa, while Nkenna was least popular in only three countries - Kenya, South Africa and Tanzania.

Weeping, wailing and the gnashing of teeth greeted the departure of Elizabeth. kEvin sobbed, Eliza wept and Angola's Emm.I.Am, her teeth clenched and eyes shooting tear-drenched daggers, swore revenge as is her wont.

Eish, I fear for the Angolan's health - she drinks deeply from the chalice of malice.

By the time you read this, we should know the nomination scenario for this week.

Itai and Leonel received by far the most nominations yesterday, followed by the two Nigerian girls, Geraldine and Nkenna with two votes each.

It remains to be seen whether two or four people will be up for eviction, or if Biggie headmistress has another twist in store - fake evictions, for example.

Stay tuned!
