Africa: The country to play CAN

14 November 2009

Togo got its ticket for the Africa Cup of Nations Angola 2010 Saturday in Lome after beating Gabon 1-0. Floyd Ayite scored the only goal at the 72nd minute. Togo will play the CAN for the 7th time since 1972.

Gabon also qualified despite its defeat.

Cameroon beat Morocco 2-0.

Each player will receive a bonus from Adebayor for winning the game. Striker Adebayor promised it last Thursday.

The Squad had met with President Faure Gnassingbé before the match.

Togo remains third of the group A with 8 points, behind Cameroon ( 13 points) and Gabon (9points). Morrocco is last with 3 points.
