For over five months, Etisalat Nigeria engaged her subscribers in a campaign tagged 9jillion promo that came to a climax recently, where Nigerians saw the telecommunication company reward Master Kizito Egeonu, a 20 years old, and a year four medical student of the University of Jos with the promised $1million prize money.
The promo which saw participants from other zones go home millionaires, had the trappings of making every subscriber that participated in the game an instant millionaire, aside the monetary benefit won in their respective zones, from where they qualified for the grand finale in Lagos, those participants who could not make to the final were rewarded with gift items like phones.
Earlier, Steven Evans, Chief Executive Officer of the company said that when Etisalat started the promo over five months ago, it seemed that the climax would never come, but today,"we are continuing the tradition of giving back to our customers, even though during the promotion we had provided a livelihood to hundreds of Nigerians who have found employment in the various activities involved in putting a live show together like this."
Continuing, he said, "we have managed to touch the lives of Nigerians in ways that no other telecomm company has been able to do, since GSM evolution in Nigeria. The best is yet to come," he assured.
