Nigeria: Eagles Victory, Answer to Prayers - Uduaghan

Our Reporter — Delta State Governor, Dr Emmanuel Uduaghan has congratulated Nigerians on the qualification of the qualification of the Super Eagles for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

The governor said the qualification of the country's senior national team for the 2010 World Cup was evidence of God's love and an answer to prayers by the citizenry.

Said he: This is evidence of God's love. Many Nigerians prayed for the Super Eagles. They wanted us to win and qualify for the World Cup and God answered the prayers.

Governor Uduaghan however asked the Super Eagles coaches to use the few months ahead to fine-tune strategies for positive impact in the World Cup.

Above all, he expressed happiness on the Golden Eaglets for their historic performance at the Under 17 World Cup having beaten Switzerland in Sunday's epic final, thereby making Nigeria the first country to host the championship and win it.
