Nigeria: Illustrated Things Fall Apart For Presentation

Lagos — THE illustrated Things Fall Apart produced in commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Chinua's Achebe's classic novel will be the star attraction at a formal presentation ceremony to be held on November 17. The event which will take place in Lagos will be chaired by HRM Igwe Nnaemeka, Obi of Onitsha with renowned playwright, Wole Soyinka being the special guest of honour among other notable personalities in the art and literary world and beyond.

Promoters of the book include: The publishers; Bookcraft, C&F Porter Novelli, and Pendulum Art Gallery who helped organise and commission the art work which lies within the book, whilst Diamond Bank are the primary sponsors.

Speaking on behalf of the organizers of the event: Publisher Bankole Olayebi of Bookcraft said: "This special publication was commissioned in honour of the great Chinua Achebe. We have also produced an XX large edition apart from the regular edition and these limited editions will be invaluable additions to the literary aficionado's library."

Olayebi added that the XXL edition of the book has a limited print run of 150 copies in synthetic leather casing with copper plate impression of Uche Edochie's 'Okonkwo' embedded, while the box set edition has a limited print run of hundred copies and features ultra violet varnish of Uche Edochie's 'Okonkwo' text embossed.
