Liberia: High-Profile DHL Delegation In Team - Holds Talks With Gov't Officials, Firestone

A four-man high-powered DHL Delegation from the South Saharan Africa will tomorrow Sunday, November 15, 2009 arrive in the Country. The official DHL delegation include Philippe Couchman, Vice President, South Saharan Region, Paul Salter, Chief Financial Officer, South Saharan African, Patrick Assi, Area Manager, West Africa, as well as Akwasi Aninakwah, incoming Country Manager Liberia.

Here in Monrovia, the delegation will be joined by Mr. Anga, Outgoing Country Manager Liberia and Kenneth Bedell, Commercial Manager Liberia. A DHL release says the delegation is basically coming on a fact finding and assessment mission of the activities of the organization in the country.

On Monday, the release continues, the delegation will meet with President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf or the Vice President, the Minister of Post and Telecommunications and the management of the Firestone Rubber Company in Harbel Firestone.

Their visit to Liberia will be climaxed with Cocktail Reception at the Cape Hotel in Mamba Point to be attended by several officials of government and other dignitaries from the Diplomatic Corps and non-governmental organizations. This is the first time in recent years that a top-quality delegation of the DHL is visiting Liberia to assess progress being made by the Liberia office of the organization.
