Tanzania: Giants Set for Action As League Resumes Today

Vodacom Premier League continues tomorrow with epic encounter between top riders, Simba SC and agitators, Mtibwa Sugar at the Uhuru Stadium highlighting the main battlefront.

Fierce fight and stiff opposition and technical showdown, are likely to highlight the encounter for victory for Msimbazi Street boys will earn them 33-point clean sweep of the league's first round pairing.

Mtibwa Sugar, one of the formidable sides in the league, would be fighting to earn respect as the only club to have successfully challenged Simba's unbeaten run.

Second-place Mtibwa Sugar have so far collected 19 points from the 10 matches and a victory will earn them 22 points, eight adrift the top riders Simba.

Third-placed Azam today play Manyema Rangers at the same venue. Azam who have penned 18 points can claim the second position, if they win today's encounter.

Azam FC who have tied with the defending champions Young Africans on 18-point mark, beat their closest challengers on the goal difference.

Simba SC will field their key players Juma Jabu, Musa Mgosi, Danny Mrwanda and Kelvin Yondani who join the camp today after serving the national team in their recently held tour of Egypt and Yemen.

Mtibwa Sugar will bank on their Taifa Stars duo Shaaban Nditi and Abdulhalim Amour who were also in the national team tour.

The league continues on Monday with a match between the defending champions, Young Africans and Tanzania Prisons at the same venue.
