Kampala — THOUSANDS of Ugandans will be privileged to have a glimpse of the prestigious solid-gold trophy at the Lugogo Cricket Oval today.
The public viewing ceremony, that will also have those fortunate ticket winners enjoying the opportunity of taking souvenir photos with the trophy with the prestigious trophy, will be the anticlimax to the historic tour.
Fans will also be able to view special 3-D movies showcasing memorable moments of the World Cup and participate in interactive displays.
Several artists have been lined up to treat the thousands of ticket fans to a bounty of celebration that will also include the opportunity of taking souvenir photos with the trophy.
Uganda has been the sixth nation in East and Central Africa and the 37th overall to host the trophy on its 70-day tour across Africa.
The four-month tour which kicked off in Egypt on September 24, 2009, was developed through a partnership between FIFA and Coca-Cola, who are FIFA partners and one of the association's longest-standing corporate partners.
