One Foday Sawaneh, a 29-year old man, was on Wednesday arraigned before Magistrate Surahata FJ Danso of the Bundung Magistrates Court charged with robbery.

According to the particulars of the offence, the accused on October 25th 2009, at the Monkey Park area in Bijilo, robbed one British tourist, named Jayen Boorman, and absconded with her video camera - valued at three hundred pounds. The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge preferred against him. In his ruling, Magistrate Danso ordered that the accused person be remanded in custody pending the transferral of the case to special criminal court.
