Umuahia — A PDP Chieftain in Abia State, Chief Benjamin Apugo has lashed at the Senator Ike Nwachkwu Peace Committee of the party for refusing to visit Abia State, despite a petition on the crisis in the state lodged before the Committee.
Apugo accused the Committee of insincerity and selective treatment.
Apugo, a board of trustee (BOT) member of the party, wondered why the peace committee deliberately refused to visit Abia State to listen to the grievances of those who petitioned it, more so when the committee chairman hails from the state.
The party chieftain restated that there was no peace in Abia PDP and warned that if it was not attended to, it may backfire when the time of "reckoning comes".
He warned that the party should not take for granted, the fact that the National Chairman of the party is from the state, therefore there is peace in the state, saying that only the National Chairman cannot make peace in Abia PDP.
