Somalia — Sheik Abdinasir Serar who claimed as the secretary of the Islamic organization of Hizbul Islam for the foreign affairs has Tuesday said that they gained victory over yesterday's fighting in Lower Jubba region in southern Somalia.
The official who is currently in the Kenyan capital Nairobi had contacted with Shabelle radio and said that the fighting started as their forces who were in a village about 20 kilometers to Afmadow town in southern Somalia were attacked adding that the war continued for hours and reached success during the clashes.
Sheik Abdinar said that both Islamist forces of Hisbul Islam and Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen who were in one line for the fighting had been separated due to the bitter fighting going in Lower Jubba regions pointing out that Hisbul Islam organization is fighting with Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen.
He said at least 4 of their fighters were killed and five others wounded in the fighting saying that they inflicted more casualties to the other side adding that they had also burnt military vehicles in the clashes which continued in Hagar village in Lower Jubba region.
Sheik Serar also disproved the reports that their forces were supporting by ONLF rebels reiterating that their forces were fighters established in Jubba regions and his statement comes as heavy fighting happened in Hagar village which Harakat Al-shabab Mujahideen claimed victory on Tuesday.
