Tunis — Mr. Ridha Ben Mosbah, Minister of Trade and Handicrafts and Mr. Afif Chelbi, minister of Industry, Energy and small and medium enterprises, chaired on Monday a preparatory meeting of the International Textile and Clothing Exhibition, TEXMED 2010, one of the major events in the textile and clothing sector.

Participants in the meeting discussed ways to reinforce the positioning of the exhibition as a "must-see" event at the regional level, as well as promoting Tunisia's position as a major exporter in the textile sector.

They also reiterated the need to increase supply and strengthen the Tunisian and foreign investments in addition to the establishment of a communication plan to promote the Tunisian textile and clothing sector.

TEXMED 2010 is due to take place from June 16 to 18, 2010 at the El Kram Exhibition Hall, north of Tunis.
